I wrote the President of the United States last week. Not for clout, not for politics; for purpose. Space debris mitigation might sound distant from peace of mind, but both require discipline: clearing what no longer serves, orbit by orbit. After leaving every social platform, my world got quieter and happier. The endless scroll was gone. So was the subtle self-comparison that poisons joy. Someone once said, “comparison is the thief of joy,” and whoever it was, they were right. Every algorithm trains us to measure worth against others. I’d rather measure it by peace.

And sometimes that’s not family, not friends, not colleagues, just a stranger who sends a video of her baby dancing to my DJ set that I posted online. That’s a real connection. Unplanned, unfiltered, and unmonetized. It reminded me that energy travels. That somewhere out there, someone is eating dinner or rocking a baby while one of my DJ sets holds the moment together. You don’t need likes to confirm impact, or to beg family to “please listen to this,’ but rather just tune into those already tuned into you; they are the ones God has brought to you today.

I used to think loyalty was blood. Now I think it’s presence. I used to think success was metrics. Now I think it’s “meaning”. Division is easy when the purpose is missing.
I’m not unplugging to disappear; I’m unplugging to reappear in real life. The goal isn’t silence; it’s signal. The kind that reaches the right people at the right time, and makes their world a little lighter. The moral of this story (or post) is “pour into those that pour into you.”
