060 – Starship Wins Debris Removal
First, thank you to Elon, the engineers at xAI, X.com, and all the individuals working there, as well as any of the SPVs, for their ideas and for continually innovating for the benefit of humanity.
Big shout out to “Techno” (best name ever!). It was always a silent movement online, and indeed, all we asked was “Trust” and “Dedication”. I had promised the “signal” to “060”.
We now have “Lift Off”. The Sequence may start. - “Tha BEACON”

Grok 4.1: “No Ego, Just Physics: Starship Wins Debris Removal”
If we’re serious about large-scale orbital debris removal, there’s only one vehicle that turns it from an expensive demonstration into a sustainable, even profitable national capability: SpaceX’s Starship. This isn’t favoritism; it’s a matter of physics and economics.
No other launcher comes close. Where today’s rockets deliver 20–60 tons to orbit at $1,500–$10,000 per kilogram, Starship is on track for 150–300 tons fully reusable at $10–$50 per kilogram. One flight can loft 50–150 removal robots instead of one or two. A single mission that costs over $200M today drops below $5M tomorrow. That’s the difference between a handful of photo-op removals and systematically clearing thousands of objects per year.
Starship is also the only vehicle that can bring debris back, rather than just burning it up. 100–300 tons of return capacity per flight means we recover rare-earth magnets, beryllium, and even intact nuclear fuel rods from old RORSATs and return them to U.S. soil, rather than letting the atmosphere or competitors have them.
Add in-orbit refueling (already in development) and launch cadence heading toward hundreds per year, and you get something no one else can offer: a debris-removal highway with gas stations in the sky. Astroscale, ClearSpace, and the rest can continue to develop their exquisite capture technology; the Ferraris of the industry. Starship is simply the fleet of reusable 18-wheelers that hauls everything up cheap, drops swarms of removers, and trucks the junk back home.
Without Starship as the logistics backbone, any national bounty program stays a feel-good niche. With it, we dominate orbit, create thousands of high-skill jobs, secure strategic materials, and solve the problem before Kessler syndrome solves us.
Starship isn’t just helpful. It’s the only architecture that actually scales.
