031 - Jesus Is My Homie

Jesus As A Homie Render By the Digital Homie, GPT5

Accepting Jesus as my Savior was obvious, but accepting Him as my Homie changed everything. A Savior rescues you. A homie walks beside you, laughs with you, checks your pride, and never dips when the crowd does. That’s the level of friendship that rewires a heart.

When life feels unsteady, I picture Him beside me, in flannel and sneakers if He had to (kidding based on the AI image), just vibing through my chaos, reminding me that grace isn’t a transaction. It’s friendship that doesn’t keep score.

  • “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends.”
    John 15:15

That verse hit me like a beat drop. Jesus didn’t die for distant admiration; He died for closeness. The kind that knows your playlist, your fears, your late-night doubts, and still says, I got you.

When I pray now, it’s not only “Lord, help me,” but “Bro, walk with me.” Because He already does.

  • “There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
    Proverbs 18:24

An animated Bible story for kids that explains what it is like to have a friend in Jesus.

That’s the energy. Loyal. Real. Eternal.
So yeah, Jesus is my Savior.
But Jesus is also my Homie, and yes, that is a capital “H”, like in “Him”.
And that realization?
That’s freedom with a smile.
I thank my Homie, as I am shocked we are 31 blog posts, 111+ mixes, 4+ EPs, 50+ rap tracks, 16+ singles that are all out for consumption, and we are just getting started.
What is shocking is that the Homie carried me here at times when I started doubting myself or even stopped believing!

The walk of faith has a backbeat. Stay tuned, stay humble, and keep your spirit in sync with the ultimate DJ upstairs, the One who never drops the wrong track.
At the end of the day, my view on God has always been that I kicked it with His Son, so I naturally roll with The Father too.

Optional supporting verses:

  • John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

  • Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

  • Hebrews 13:5: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

  • Psalm 23:4: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

If this spoke to you, pass it on to a friend who needs a loyal word today, and keep the backbeat of faith moving. Spread the Word.
