106 - God Story

There are moments in life where you stop asking, "Why did this happen?" and instead begin asking, "What was God preparing me for?" That is where a God Story begins.
For years, I thought my life was just a collection of disconnected moments. School. DJing. Producing music. Starting companies. Returning to engineering decades later. Completing my master's in Engineering with an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning focus. Winning some battles and losing others. At the time, none of it seemed connected. It simply felt like life.
Only when I stopped looking at individual chapters and stepped back did I begin to see the bigger picture. Every closed door redirected me somewhere I never would have chosen on my own. Every betrayal sharpened my discernment. Every setback built resilience. Even the seasons I wanted to erase became some of the greatest classrooms God ever placed me in.
I realized I wasn't simply living my story.
I was living God's story for my life. 🙏
This week became another chapter in that story.
I passed my Texas Life & Health exam. 📚✅
Some people will see a passing score. I see another reminder that God continues to make a way. There were moments when I questioned whether I had enough time, enough focus, or even whether I was moving in the right direction. Between rebuilding my life in Houston, continuing to build MaNiverse, producing music, writing these blog posts, and trying to create stability again, there were days when the weight felt heavy.
Yet once again, God proved faithful.
Not because the road became easy.
But because He never asked me to walk it alone.
That realization has changed how I view every season of my life. Instead of asking why certain things happened, I now ask what they were preparing me for. Looking back, I can see God's fingerprints on moments I completely misunderstood while I was living them. The opportunities that disappeared weren't always losses. The people who walked away weren't always meant to stay. The delays weren't punishment. Many of them were protection.
One of the greatest lessons faith has taught me is that God rarely hands us the entire blueprint. He gives us enough light for the next step, then asks us to trust Him with the one after that. Faith isn't having every answer. Faith is continuing to move forward when you don't.
My testimony isn't that life suddenly became easy. I've experienced heartbreak, financial pressure, disappointment, broken relationships, uncertainty, and seasons where I genuinely questioned what God was doing. Yet every time I thought the story was ending, He quietly turned the page. Looking back now, I can honestly say that some of my greatest blessings were disguised as unanswered prayers.
Today, I have more peace than certainty.
And I've learned that's enough.
Because my confidence no longer comes from knowing exactly where the road leads.
It comes from knowing Who walks beside me.
Anne Wilson's “God Story” reminds us that a testimony isn't about perfection. It's about redemption. It's about looking back and recognizing that the moments we thought were random were actually being woven together by Someone who could already see the finished picture.
Maybe that's why I continue writing these posts.
Not because I have everything figured out.
But because someone reading this may still be living through a chapter that doesn't make sense yet.
If that's where you are, don't lose hope.
Keep taking the next faithful step.
One day you'll look back and realize that what felt like coincidence was actually providence.
That what felt like delay was preparation.
And what felt like the end...
Was only the beginning.
Every scar.
Every lesson.
Every blessing.
Every unanswered prayer.
Every impossible comeback.
They're all part of the same story.
